12 WEEK COURSE ROSACEA
THE ROSACEA PILL
Spots Inflammation Redness
Efracea (doxycycline 40mg slow release) is a prescription-only treatment designed specifically to treat the symptoms associated with rosacea.
The price is £80 for a 3 month course.
Efracea contains the antibiotic ingredient doxycycline at a low dose of 40 mg in a slow-release formulation. At this low dose, there is no antimicrobial effects; the impact on rosacea is due to the anti-inflammatory effects of doxycycline. In studies, inflammatory lesions cleared in 80-100% of people after four weeks, and there was a 50% reduction in redness.
Take one capsule daily in the morning on an empty stomach, either one hour before or two hours after eating. Drink a full glass of water with the capsule.
Some products can reduce the absorption of Efracea, so it is recommended not to take products containing calcium such as antacids and milk at the same time as Efracea. The manufacturers advise waiting 2 to 3 hours after taking Efracea.
- Always complete the full course, even if your skin starts to clear up.
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure, as antibiotics can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.
- If you experience side effects like stomach pain, diarrhoea, or allergic reactions, contact your healthcare provider right away.
- Do not combine with certain medications or supplements without checking with your healthcare provider.
