Hydroquinone is a powerful skin-lightening agent used to treat hyperpigmentation and even out skin tone.

Hydroquinone works by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase, which is involved in the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for dark spots.

  • Lightens Dark Spots: Effectively reduces hyperpigmentation.
  • Treats Melasma: Manages symptoms of melasma.
  • Evens Skin Tone: Improves overall skin tone and clarity.

Improvements usually take 8-12 weeks.

Common side effects include mild irritation and redness. This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Always read your Uncouth patient information leaflet prior to using your treatment.

Hydroquinone cream should not be used if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
